The banner behind the speakers at the Recreate 68 End the Occupation event. Cindy Sheehan, Ward Churchill, Cynthia McKinney, and other sordid characters spoke in front of this banner on Sunday morning before the march left the Capital for the Pepsi Center at noon.
When Recreate 68 whined because they didn’t get the park they wanted in the permit lottery process, the Colorado State government let them use the front of the State Capitol for their event. This 5′ x 8′ sign was put on the right column of the central front door of the State Capitol building. It depicts the angel of death with stars and stripes and an official portrait of Sadaam as a gentleman about to become a victim of America.
- Anti-imperialist solidarity with Islamist imperialists (caliphate = empire) The sun shining through the El Sadr banner reveals it to be a (presumably stolen) Coors banner. Mookie would NOT approve! Off with their hands.
- Protesters chanted “This is what a police state looks like! This is what a police state looks like!” and did everything verbally possible to insult and provoke the police in a hysterical manner. They screamed: “You cowards! You wouldn’t ever come here without those guns! You’re not men, you’re dirty machines.” I saw an open bottle full of liquid thrown out of the mob at police; wasn’t close enough to verify that it was filled with urine, but that’s what had been threatened.
- A Lyndie England wannabe -- The Stop War On Iran Campaign headquarters shares its headquarters address and phone number with Workers World Party, International Action Center, A.N.S.W.E.R. and other anti-American groups. For anyone who doesn’t know it, the so-called “anti-war” group International A.N.S.W.E.R. was formed by leaders of the Workers World Party (and mere days after the 911 attacks). WWP is a collection of pro-North Korea Stalinists based in New York City. When A.N.S.W.E.R. was eventually outed as a communist front, WWP started up a new “peace” group called Troops Out Now. Democrat chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, Charlie Rangel, actually gives speeches at their rallies.
- The anarchists who “reclaimed the street” were choreographed sheep; a video from the Denver Post shows one of the instigators telling his minions to form a line, then shouts at the police “Aren’t you tired of following orders?”
- The bourgeoisie standing up to the man. They defiantly crossed the street on a red light too!
- The skateboarder's tattoo says Wolves Among Sheep. There seems to be a theme with the anarchists of behaving like sheep, in their fashion, in their mob behavior…
- Colorado's State Capitol steps
- Glenn Spagnuolo and Barbara Cohen of Recreate 68
- Is the guy with the walker a youth, or maybe a student?
- This float ended the anti-war march. The other side of the bottle was imprinted with VOTE GREEN PARTY - NADER.
- The orange cardboard tank is mobiiized.
more information and pictures will be added later; I’m off to take pictures of today’s goings on. My estimate is that somewhere under 1,000 demonstrators showed up on Sunday, not the 50,000 people organizers were expecting.
Recreate68 is one of the organizations behind the madness.
